We were thrilled to be given the opportunity to design and produce Back Stage which is certainly a one-off for all of us. Back Stage opens the door to Gary Numan's most prolific and successful period from 1979–1981 with interviews from band members past and present as well as contributions from a variety of established artists who regard Numan as the man who opened the door to electronic rock music.

An extraordinary amount of work went in to Back Stage. Most of the photographs required a high level of retouching. It was also important that we captured the essence of Numan's 'machine music' phase with a subtle nod to Gary's distinctive album and single artwork. Back Stage completely sold out within a few months of release.
